Bowling Green Professional Photography- “Together we can do so much.”

Last week I helped a local non-profit organization to create professional photography of their little ones. “The Foundry” is a faith- based ministry in the heart of the west end of Bowling Green. They provide free preschool and after- school opportunities for children who live in the poorest school districts in Bowling Green, and they rely on grants, church and personal donations as well as free services from our community. Knowing that children from economically challenged homes are more likely to begin school already behind their peers, The Foundry’s goal is to make sure that these children begin school Kindergarten ready. As I was taking pictures of these sweet kiddos, I noticed the patience and loving environment that the staff provided-overcoming language barriers and making them feel at ease having their pics taken. I enjoyed every minute being around those little ones!

And once again I was reminded of my favorite Quote: “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Helen Keller

If you are looking for a non-profit organization to provide needed services to or make monetary donations to, check out “The Foundry” here.

I like to tell stories with my pictures. Do you have a story to tell or know of a non-profit organization that does? Let’s do it! One picture at the time! ella@ellapphotography.com

Bowling Green Lifestyle Photography…The faster way to weight loss.

This week I got to photograph this amazing woman who is not just an accomplished photographer but also a coach for weight loss and healthier living. For the shooting location we strolled through downtown Bowling Green (including a shopping trip to a local grocery store 🙂 and had a blast together. Needless to say, I am totally digging out my weights again and I am rethinking my diet choices. Cheree has accomplished so much since she started ” The faster way to fat loss”. Check out the website here or find her on FB. She can help you with any questions you might have. So ladies: Let’s push those weights and chop those veggies. Summer is going to be here soon!

Kame & Bambo.

This gorgeous couple said “yes” yesterday. They just recently moved to Bowling Green, bought their first house and are now planning their life together as husband and wife. Close friends and family members traveled here to spent this special day with them, and neighbors joined to wish them the best. There was laughter and tears of joy, authentic Nigerian food and champagne. I so enjoyed being there and I wish them both a happy life together. And remember: Be honest, be forgiving with each other. And always share the chocolate!

Memories made…

Last weekend I got to meet and photograph these guys for the first time. They organised this session as a gift to their parents and I am so glad they did. I believe that pictures tell stories and belong on people’s walls and coffee tables for generations to come. I believe that when these kiddos have grown, pictures will remind them of all the family get- togethers, adventures and family holidays they have been part of over the years. And I am sure they’ll have plenty of stories to tell. And as always, I am glad I could help with that. 🙂

Here is your sneak peek!

Every family has a story. Let me tell yours.

Christmas Family Reunions are booking now.

The Elkins Family.

A couple of days ago I created some memories of this family. I have been photographing some of these guys for a while now and I love it whenever I get the whole crew in front of my lens. The family owns a couple of dairies locally and I loved that we used one of the dairies as our shoot location! I hope we’ll get to do this again someday. But for now, check out your Christmas card material for this year in this sneak peek!

Plans For Good…

Last weekend I photographed these guys and their loved ones. We scheduled this session a few months ago and little did we know that one precious son and brother would be missing in these photos.

Brandon Brown died tragically in an accident a few weeks ago and is dearly missed by his parents, brothers, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. Although I hardly knew him, it is obvious from the stories I heard that he was caring and loved his family very much.

I am thankful that I was able to create these memories for this family. I am inspired by their faith in God’s promise for Good. In times of grief and sadness I always refer to my favorite bible verse from Jeremiah: For I know the plans I have for you “declares the Lord”, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Brown family, I pray that God grant strength and peace to you through this difficult time, and to every person Brandon touched.

Fall fun.

Last Saturday I had these guys in front of my lens again. I have known these boys for several years now and to my surprise, the oldest caught up in height with me already…

Even though the temperature was frigid, they did an awesome job smiling and just going along. So here are some of my favorites from this session.
